EW: Why did you demand that Edward and Bella's big kissing scene be toned down?
STEPHENIE MEYER: The problem is if you're going to continue with the other movies, there's a very gradual build to their physical relationship. And what Edward is capable of when he first meets Bella changes very much by the time he's become more committed to the relationship. They reshot the first kiss scene and actually added a special effect and some really cool things that added so much. And it's the only kiss scene.

Special effects? Did they digitally cover Kristen's panties? Geez SM, live a little. It's bad enough that there's only one kissing scene, and then it had to be toned down? Twilight is not High School Musical 3. After reading through the comments, we saw that many shared our disappointment. This comment for the win:
Catherine needs to step up and be like - "Bitch please. You might have written the books, but I am directing the movie. This is SPARTA! *kicks her into black pit of doom."
